AZ-900: Microsoft Azure Fundamentals

Hello Friends,

The purpose of writing this blog is to share my experience of AZ-900: Microsoft Azure Fundamentals certification. It will be helpful for candidates aspiring for AZ-900 certification.

This certificate tests the basic concepts of Azure cloud & hence good starting point. It is fundamental exam & have scenario-based questions. So, need bit of preparation. It can take 1 week to 1 month time to prepare depending on your familiarity with Cloud Concepts.  

For any certifications, I follow below steps in general, you can follow them or have your own approach as well. The approach I shared is fast & focused way to prep for any certification. I followed the same to crack my certifications.

1) Check Certification details like No. of Questions, Time Duration, Fees & Passing Score etc. at URL: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/learn/certifications/exams/az-900 or you can refer below snap for details.

2) Go through skills measured in this Certification. Microsoft keep updating the content. So, it is advised to download & go through the “Exam Skill Outline” latest pdf document. 3) In “Exam Skill Outline”, identify the topics, you are already familiar & the topics you need to study. Just have a basic understanding of all the topics & prepare some “Short Notes” having one-two liner for all topics. No need to deep dive in each topic at this stage. The concept will get better gradually in next step. Another thing of which I am big fan of are "Mind Maps". They are great way to memorize the concepts & quite useful during final revisions. Also identifying & focusing on our weak areas throughout our preparation. 4) This is most important step for preparation for any Certification, you are planning. It’s key of success. Make mistake & learn in trials rather than in match. “Attempt Questions” as much as possible & have proper justification of your answer why it's right or wrong both. This is where you build your concepts & prepare yourself for certifications. Enhance your “Short Notes” based on your learning & experience while attempting questions. 5) Now you ready with your preparation😊. You have your “Short Notes”, “Mind Map” & attempted questions as well. Be confident and give Certification exam. You are going to crack it.
